Murilo Couto studied advertising and worked as a radio producer. He began his artistic career in theater in 2004. He was one of the founders of Em Pé na Rede, the first stand-up comedy group from Pará, in 2008.
In television, he started in 2009 and soon joined the cast of Malhação. He was on the teen telenovela from November 2009 to August 2010. Shortly after, he joined the regular cast of Comédia em Pé, one of the precursors of stand-up comedy in Brazil.
In 2011, he joined the cast of the talk show Agora É Tarde on Rede Bandeirantes alongside Danilo Gentili, on Band until 2013, when he was hired along with part of the Agora é Tarde team by SBT to be part of the talk show The Night, also commanded by Danilo Gentili.
